RA – Souls Grown Deep Like The Rivers

Immerse yourself with unique African American artistic traditions this Spring as The Royal Academy welcomes a spectacular exhibit of works from black artists in the States.

The exhibition will showcase around 64 works by 34 artists from the mid-20th century to the present in various methods including sculptures, paintings, drawings and fascinating quilts.

The works are made from materials such as clay, driftwood, roots, soil, and recycled objects, most of which are being displayed for the first time in Europe.

Souls Grown Deep Like The Rivers will run from March 17th to June 18th at the Gabrielle Jungels-Winkler Galleries. Tickets from £13 can be purchased here.
