Open Farm Sunday

For those looking to spend some time in the sun this summer, hundreds of farms across the UK are opening their gates this June as part of the 20th annual Open Farm Sunday event.

In East London, Stepney City Farm is participating and offering the opportunity to feed animals and eat at their cafe. While not participating in the event, Hackney City Farm is also open to the public most days and offers pottery nights, volunteering, and a cafe.

The event is held by LEAF, a national charity that seeks to educate people about farming in the UK through demonstration farms, education programs, and public events like this.
