Emily Kam Kngwarray Tate Modern

Get set for an illuminating and uplifting journey across the equator this summer as iconic Anmatyerr Aboriginal artist Emily Kam Kagwarry opens at Tate Modern.

Renowned as one of the world’s most significant contemporary artists, this will be the first time most of her work has been on display outside of her native Australia, and the first time in Europe.

Presenting over 70 huge canvas textiles, the viewer will be able to walk amongst and gaze over the tapestry’s bright and bold decoration.

Emily Kam Kngwarry is running at Tate Modern from Thursday 10th July to Sunday 11th January 2026.
