Kpop Melon Music Award Winners announced!

The Melon Music Awards lit up December 19th with a night that felt equal parts celebration, chaos, and well-earned victory laps. From surprise wins to dominant sweeps, the ceremony was a reminder of just how competitive — and entertaining — the year in music had been.

One of the biggest moments of the night came with Record of the Year, which went to Jennie. It was a win that felt almost inevitable after a year of undeniable impact. The crowd reaction said it all — this was one of those awards that simply made sense the moment it was announced.

New Artist of the Year brought a nice twist, with the award shared between Hearts2Hearats and AllDay Project. Both rookies made strong cases for themselves throughout the year, and the shared win felt like a nod to the fact that the next generation is already arriving loud and confident.

The solo categories were stacked, but the trophies landed in the hands of two artists who had massive individual years. Best Male Solo went to G-Dragon, while Best Female Solo was claimed by Rosé. Each brought very different energy to the year, but both proved they could completely own the spotlight on their own terms.

Group awards followed suit with wins that reflected consistency and fan power. Boynextdoor took home Best Male Group after a year of steady growth and strong releases, while IVE secured Best Female Group, continuing their run as one of the most reliable hitmakers in the scene.

The Best Music Video award went to Kiii Kiii for “I Do Me,” a win that celebrated creativity, visuals, and a concept that clearly stuck with viewers long after the first watch. Other winners included the likes of RIIZE, Aespa, Zico and of course, Huntr/x of viral Netflix movie, Kpop Demon Hunters with track Golden from the official soundtrack.

And then there was G-Dragon — unavoidable, impossible to ignore, and everywhere by the end of the night. In addition to Best Male Solo, he picked up Best Album for Ubermensch, Artist of the Year, and Song of the Year. When all was said and done, he had collected a total of seven trophies, turning the ceremony into a quiet reminder that longevity, when paired with evolution, is still a powerful thing.

By the time the lights dimmed and the final speeches wrapped up, the 19th of December felt like a proper closing chapter to the year in music. The Melon Music Awards didn’t just hand out trophies — they captured a moment where established stars, rising artists, and true industry heavyweights all shared the same stage, each leaving with something to remember.
