SOUL MAMA LAUNCHES IN STRATFORD

There’s a new music venue on the Stratford scene: head to Soul Mama this Autumn for a delicious mix of African, Caribbean and South American food accompanied by a full line up of grass-roots live music.

Soul Mama is the brainchild of double MOBO award-winning saxophonist, composer and broadcaster YolanDa Brown, having broken the record for the most money raised ever for a kickstarter restaurant project.

The food is led by Executive Head Chef, Aleandro Brown (The Connaught, Maze Grill, Sketch, The Ritz London) with menu highlights including Braised Beef Arepas, 24-hour marinated Jerk Wing Pits and Argentinian Stuffed Gaucho Chicken, all complimented by one of Soul Mama’s signature rum punches or a tipple from the bar’s curated wine or local beers list.

Offering an exciting programme of live music across Jazz, Soul, Gospel, Reggae and more, Soul Mama’s launch programme features UK Soul legend Omar, Bill Laurance from Snarky Puppy, Jazz legends YellowJackets, Goldie collaborator Terri Walker, London Community Gospel Choir and, of course, YolanDa herself.

Visit Soul Mama at the Gantry Hotel, Stratford.
