‘Skateboard’ at The Design Museum
The Design Museum’s major autumn exhibition will chart the evolution of skateboards from the 1950s to present day.
The first UK exhibition of its kind, highlights will include Tony Hawk and Sky Brown’s first professional boards, alongside 50 on loan from the ‘Hall of Fame’ Museum in California.
Curated by industrial designer and boarder Jonathan Olivares, the exhibition will chronicle the history of skate design, from early homemade efforts to advanced models fit for Olympians.
‘Skateboard’ opens at The Design Museum on October 20th, tickets are on sale now.
