Mercury Prize Nominees 2023
The shortlist of the twelve 2023 Mercury Prize ‘Albums of the Year’ will be announced this Thursday 27 July ahead of September’s Award Show.
The prize recognises the best new British & Irish albums, providing a snapshot of the year in music and giving a platform to an eclectic range of contemporary music genres.
Last year’s winner was Little Simz with her fourth studio album ‘Sometimes I Might Be Introvert’, which also won the MOBO Award for Best Album of the Year.
The 2023 Mercury Prize Awards Show will be held at the Eventim Apollo, Hammersmith on Thursday 7 September with the BBC providing live TV and radio coverage.
