Glastonbury Review
Glastonbury 2022, what a blast. From singing our hearts out to TLC, boogying to Burna Boy at sunset, bopping along to Haim and fist-pumping to Honey Dijon in the sweaty rooms of NYC Downlow, G’Bury really lived up to all our expectations.
A Hoxton Radio highlight would have to be watching Olivia Rodrigo and special guest Lily Allen give the middle finger to the Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn Roe v Wade last week.
At the grand age of 80 years old, Paul McCartney was still able to pull a 2 and a half hour set out of the bag, joined on stage by none other than musical icons Dave Grohl and Bruce Springsteen, both having flown in from the States especially for their appearance.
The food and drink scene did not disappoint either, we munched on vegan fried chicken burritos from Club Mexicana, pakoras from Peckish Peacock and downed our fair share of frozen margaritas.
It wasn’t all raving until the small hours though, we managed to head to the wholesome turf of the healing fields, sipping on fresh masala chai whilst trying our hand at wood carving.
It’s safe to say the countdown is already on until we can return to the glorious fields at Worthy Farm.
