Dining on a Victoria Line tube might sound like hell, but rest assured the retired carriage at Supperclub has been refurbished and given a second life as a fine dining establishment.

You’ll be greeted aboard the 1967 coach with a welcome drink before sitting down for a six-course South American-inspired meal imagined by star chef Beatriz Maldonado Carreño. Those glaring night-tube interrogation lights have been swapped for an ambient glow and relentless ‘Mind The Gap’ warnings have made way for a more relaxing playlist to better compliment the meal.

Bolivian style soup, Chilean pasties, tequila-infused cod and Columbian-inspired coconut pie will have you desperate to return, even enduring the real Victoria Line to do so.

Supperclub.tube is open Thursday-Saturday at Walthamstow Purpose Museum, South Access Road. Set menu prices start at £49pp. More information and booking here.
