ZANELE MUHOLI AT TATE MODERN
Tate Modern is celebrating the career of visual activist and photographer, Zanele Muholi, with a retrospective exhibition including over 260 of their photographs.
Through their photographs, the South African artist has been documenting and celebrating South Africa’s Black lesbian, gay, transgender, and intersex communities.
By presenting the subjects of their pictures as empowered individuals in the face of prejudice and hatred, Muholi aims to challenge dominant ideologies surrounding race, gender and sexuality.
“Zanele Muholi” at Tate Modern will be showing in the Natalie Bell Building from Thursday 6th of June until the 26th of January 2025. For more info and tickets click here.
