Young V&A: Marbling Workshop
The Young V&A launched their first exhibition ‘Japan: Myths to Manga!’ in October and are now inviting guests to a Japanese-inspired art workshop, creating Suminagashi prints.
Artist Naomi Ellis will be leading the sessions, teaching guests to create their own marbled papers using the traditional Japanese technique of Suminigashi, or ‘floating ink’.
These workshops are part of the Make-Lab series, offering opportunities for adults and children to work with professional artists, learning new creative skills together.
Naomi Ellis will be hosting Suminigashi Marble Workshops on Saturday 2nd December between 10.30-12.30pm and 2-4pm.
