Whitechapel Gallery – Summer Exhibition
Whitechapel Gallery welcomes a free three-month programme of collaborations with worldwide artists, performers and thinkers this summer.
Life is More Important Than Art is a theory from African American writer James Baldwin, and visitors can find meaningful connections to the sculpture, photography, film and installations.
Displays include dreamlike childhood paintings, a fictional recreation of a bedroom, and objects from the demolition of a nearby synagogue.
Life is More Important Than Art runs 14th June – 17th September at Whitechapel Gallery, E1 7QX.
