The Light Bar

After 7 years the Victorian power station said to have inspired Shoreditch’s original motto ‘More Light, More Power.’ has been saved from redevelopment. The #savethelight campaign, backed by Artist Tracey Emin ensured the building’s new protected status.

The newly refurbished Bar is set to become one of Shoreditch Highstreet’s brightest hotspots and has opened its new outdoor Terrace ‘The Yard’ to the public.

Whether it’s seasonal cocktails from the ‘Copper Bar’ or wine sourced from small suppliers, the Light Bar has something for everyone to enjoy post lockdown.

Chef Johnnie Collins offers his take on modern British cooking focusing on locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
