Paula Rego: Crivelli’s Garden
Experience the breathtaking and radical paintings of Dame Paula Rego, alongside the 15th-century murals that inspired them, at the National Gallery this July.
‘Crivelli’s Garden’, the mural painted during Rego’s time as the National Gallery’s first-ever Associate Artist, depicts female staff working at the Trafalgar Square institution and pays homage to her time there.
Rego’s work tirelessly platforms people and issues left out of the male-dominated art mainstream, and she is considered an inspiration to a generation of new painters.
Paula Rego: Crivelli’s Garden will be at the National Gallery from 20 July to 29 October. Free entry.
