NONDEF | CD Sounds: Neil Kleiner

Nerd instincts kicked in when I saw Neil Kleiner, MD of social-first agency movement. I just knew. A flurry of obscure music links shared on LinkedIn chat confirmed it. He managed and played with a legendary jazz drummer, released weirdly pretty music with his band Dark Captain Light Captain… you get the picture.

movement is an Accordance / Grayling-connected social-first agency and he led social at Golin and MSL, but that’s pretty much all you’re getting in terms of business. It almost feels fraudulent putting this in CD Sounds, given that there’s generally a least a hat-tip to work. Not this time.

So if two blokes geeking out about Cannibal Ox, Sun Ra, Autechre and free jazz is your thing, you’re home. For most people I’d imagine we’d be a nightmare to get wedged between in a dinner party.
