Nick Drake’s 75th – MOTH Club
This month MOTH Club is celebrating the songs of Nick Drake for what would have been his 75th birthday.
Revered for his unconventional lyrics and depressingly romantic, folk-esque melodies, Drake’s delayed impress has since evolved into a cult following nearly fifty years after his untimely death.
Gathering against the gold-tinselled wall, fans will commemorate one of the most influential and mythologised singer-songwriters of the last half-century, with each of his albums Five Leaves Left, Bryter Layter and the infamous Pink Moon featuring on the night.
Nick Drake’s 75th Birthday will be held on 19 June at MOTH Club, Valette Street, Hackney. Tickets found here.
