This weeks show started with a bit of blunder. I guess you can feel assured it is recorded live on the radio show, as I mixed two of the songs lol. Anyway, the way it should have went is that Supernova opened the show, followed by Armageddon from Aespa. Aespa were given a double whammy because they won 6 trophies at the MNET Mama Awards which took place recently in LA and Osaka.

We went back in time with Kard, the only co-ed group I am aware of with two guys and two gals and played ‘Ring the Alarm’ not to be confused with Beyonce’s hit. We had the lastest banger from newbies with ‘Body’ from girl group MEOVV. We also spun a new track from NEXZ who are also new with their track ‘Nallina’.

We circled back to awards, with Seventeen who took 5 trophies home, including Artist of the Year and Best Male Gropu (both for the second year runnin), at this years MNET Mama Awards. We opted for the orchestra remix of Maestro to shake things up and the vocals were popping with all the noise stripped back. Still prefer the original. We had Badvillain with their new tune ‘Zoom’, went to the archies with ‘Hear me out’ from OG’s EXO, then had an OST track from virtual boy group PLAVE. Their song ‘We don’t stop’ is on S2 of The Fiery Priest!

Illit and Ava Max came together for mash-up ‘Baby it’s Both’ / ‘Tick Tack’. We had live group The Rose with their four musical members and their track ‘Red’. Lee Young Ji, more known for rapping provided vocals on her track ‘Small Girl’ with guest vocals from DO of EXO. We ended the show with two bangers (and also my faves), Gold from Itzy and Whiplash (for the millionth time), from Aespa.
