An eclectic mix of painting, sculpture, printmaking and more, the Serpentine South finds itself transformed into a meditative space as Justin Caguiat’s first UK institutional exhibition takes over.

Described by curator Natalia Grabowska as ‘multi-sensory, experimental and process-driven’, ‘Change Ringing’ uses the architecture of the building to frame the works, exploring the relationship between spirituality and everyday urban infrastructure.

The paintings respond to heat and light, changing colour and revealing new shapes, while bronze bells cast in the forms of flowers and plant seeds provide a soundtrack. A score by Lily Pickett plays continuously, transforming the gallery’s architecture into a listening chamber.

The show runs from 8th October to 10th January 2027, tickets are free and can be reserved here.
