This week we’re joined in-studio by Hackney theatre collective Itch and Scratch, no, nothing to do with The Simpsons plus where you can watch a wartime classic film under a spitfire.

In our #T5HandB we start at the East London Book club with Sara Pascoe in their literary salon. Then we head due north to Manchester for ‘DNA’ – the new Oasis exhibit at the Central library. We bring you back home to the Southbank Centre for the World Press Photo exhbit as its worldwide tour ends in London.

Embrace the swinging sixties this weekend at the V&A’s Revolutions Weekender where you can drop-in for free music and theatre events. Or perhaps you are more interested in watching classic war films under a spitfire plane? If so, head to the Imperial War Museum with our friends The Nomad Cinema.

A finally, food, or in this case drink with our #EatOfTheWeek BYOC East where you bring your favourite spirit and in real speakesy style, the barmen in braces shake it into a surprising cocktail in a prohibition-style bar; flapper dress not necessary.
