GUO’s 40th Anniversary
World Jazz ensemble and Bethnal Green locals, Grand Union Orchestra, are releasing a celebratory feature film of their 40th Anniversary Show, filmed at The Hackney Empire.
Often thought of as ‘music theatre’ rather than concerts, viewers can expect Grand Union’s signature soulful style paving the way for a sonic exploration of social, political and historical events.
Bringing together 30 musicians and singers across multiple generations and cultural backgrounds, the show captures the energy and spontaneity of a typical GUO performance.
