Gilbert & George Centre – Brick Lane
The Gilbert & George Centre is set to open just off Brick Lane this April, with three floors dedicated to their distinctive work in a free display to the public.
Turner prize winning Gilbert Proesch and George Passmore have been residents of Spitalfields since 1968 and are known for their suited, formal appearance and brightly coloured graphic artworks.
The centre will present historical and new pictures of East London in the artists’ vivid style, with the first exhibition being a flamboyant display of heavenly parks, flowers and trees.
The Gilbert & George Centre, E1 5LJ, will open April 1st from Friday to Sunday, 10am to 5pm.
