Ebony Scrooge at Sadler’s Wells East

Christmas is getting a hip-hop makeover as Ebony Scrooge returns to east London, giving the Dickens’ festive classic a fresh twist.

Created by local choreographer Dannielle ‘Rhimes’ Lecointe, the show follows a ruthless fashion designer who cancels Christmas before three ghosts send her on a journey to reconnect with her Caribbean roots.

This time, Rhimes is taking on the titular role herself, marking her first onstage performance in 10 years with a production which blends hip-hop, comedy and physical theatre.

Following a sell-out run last year, Ebony Scrooge returns to Sadler’s Wells East from 24th November to 3rd January.
