Each Moment Presents What Happens Whitechapel Gallery
Lose yourself in Swedish artist Johanna Billing’s new exhibition at Whitechapel Gallery this autumn.
‘Each Moment Presents What Happens’ is a project exploring the importance of creativity in education.
Billing’s project and film documents a group of students engaging and re-interpreting avant-garde composer John Cage’s mythical performance piece ‘Untitled Event.’
As with Cage’s original work, all experiences – on and off stage – are vital to the art and Billing mimics this by contrasting students’ artistic endeavours with clips from their daily school lives.
