CNBLUE Plug Back In: London Gets the Long-Awaited Return

Fourteen years is a long time in music. Long enough for trends to rise and fall, for entire waves of pop to reinvent themselves. And yet, here they are again: CNBLUE, tuning up for a European return that feels less like a comeback and more like a homecoming.

Back in 2012, they slipped into London for a stop at the Indigo at The O2, still riding the early momentum of their breakthrough years. Since then, they’ve grown up, spread out, served time, explored solo projects, and quietly built a catalogue that doesn’t really fit the typical K-pop mould. Because CNBLUE were never really that.

They’re a band first. Guitars, drums, bass, actual instruments in hand. Songs that come from within the group rather than being handed over by a production line. Jung Yong-hwa, Lee Jung-shin, Kang Min-hyuk – names that have stayed together through more than a decade of change, still making music that leans into rock, pop-rock, and something distinctly their own. Their ‘3logy’ tour feels like a statement. Berlin, Paris, The Hague, and then London on 5 July. Not a massive arena sweep, but something more intentional. The kind of tour that says they know exactly who they are now, and who’s been waiting.

Because the fans have been waiting. Fourteen years since that last UK stop. Fourteen years of “maybe next time.” And now, finally, next time is here.
