Carolee Schneeman Film Series at the Barbican
Hitting the silver screens of the Barbican for the first time this autumn is a series of restored films from the legendary multimedia feminist artist Carolee Shneeman.
Ending in November, the series will feature an impressive program of the artist’s best known film works, from the disruptively erotic Fuses (1964-1966) to the ethically subversive Viet-Flakes (1962-1976).
The film series supplements the Carolee Shneeman: Body Politics exhibition which presents an expansive retrospective of the artist’s paintings, sculptures, writing, and video work.
