British Museum: China’s Hidden Century

China’s hidden century exhibition opens at the British Museum next week and tickets are available now.

The exhibition chronicles the resilience and innovation of 19th-century China when revolution ended the country’s dynasty.

Visitors will get to glimpse the textures of life in the period through art, fashion, newspapers, furniture and even soup ingredients.

Illuminating the lives of individuals from the period this showcase will bring fresh understanding of late imperial China.
