This week on The Midweek Reset, Anisa T explores beauty, intimacy and modern wellbeing: who gets seen, what keeps us stuck, and why we need spaces for honest conversation.

First, Donna Dia, founder of The Beauty Beat, joins Anisa to discuss representation in the beauty industry and creating a luxury experience where Women of Colour feel centred and celebrated. The Beauty Beat takes place at the QEII Centre on Saturday 31 October and Sunday 1 November 2026.

Then, cultural programmer Jo Sharff joins the show to talk about the programme she is building at SiR Devonshire Square. Their conversation moves between identity, sex, self-worth, relationships and addiction, and the value of bringing thoughtful conversations into shared spaces.

The show also visits two exhibitions at the College of Psychic Studies exploring art, consciousness and experiences beyond ordinary perception. Anisa chats about the spicy astrology in the skies this week – plus the Orionids meteor shower. She also discusses Halloween and asks what happens when a much-loved local event grows beyond what its community can enjoy… Dalston’s Pumpkin Festival.
