The Alternative Hour w Elspeth Pierce
This week’s steaming hot Alternative Hour – in more ways than just the weather- was a Glasto/ Community Fest mash up as she got excited about all things Worthy Farm, with a crossover of live acts heading to Finsbury Park the following week.
With tunes from Blossoms, Catfish and the Bottlemen, Slaves, The Pretenders, Biffy Clyro and more, the tunes matched the weather perfectly as we look forward to the weekend of music ahead, whether it’s from a muddy field of the comfort of our sofas.
Track of the week was from Hoxton Radio fave Mac De Marco with ‘Baby You’re Out’ released on the 18th August, as he continues to release tantalizing tracks from his latest album offering – The Old Dog.
Elspeth also shared the news of a new music app – Weather Tunes that creates a sonic playlist instantaneously for us based on the current weather.
