‘Plugged In with Yaz’ on Hoxton Radio is the show for young creatives in London – and today we bring more ‘Jazz with Yaz’.

This week I’m joined by one of the most exciting and shape-shifting voices in the UK music scene, a singer, saxophonist, guitarist and composer whose music moves fluidly between jazz, indie, post-rock, folk, electronic and beyond. Kaidi Akinnibi is a South London artist whose sound is warm, cinematic and emotionally rich, but also bold enough to stretch across genres and settings with total ease.

His journey has taken him from the Windmill and Tomorrow’s Warriors world through to collaborations with Black Midi, Wizkid, Celeste, Blue Lab Beats, DoomCannon, Tom Misch and Yussef Dayes, and more recently on Tom Misch’s Full Circle as the album’s only feature. Having released a variety of singles and albums in a short space of time, he’s an artist who seems to be constantly expanding his own world.
