Simon McBurney is an influential and innovative theatre-maker and Artistic Director and co-founder of Complicité.
His newest creation, Figures in Extinction, along with NDT’s Crystal Pite, unites their visionary practices to explore how artists can meaningfully create in the face of mass destruction.
Over the last four years, fuelled by the urgency of our times and the increasing global destruction they were witnessing, Pite and McBurney have weaved their hopes and fears for our current moment into this moving and timely dance trilogy. The result, Figures in Extinction, is a cross-continental conversation split into an evening of three startling, half-hour works which fuse dance, performance, spoken word, documentary and music.

Cormac McAlinden and Catherine Rees star in Little Brother at Soho Theatre, Eoin McAndrew’s darkly comic new play about sibling love, self-destruction, and what it means to save someone who doesn’t want to be saved.
Set in modern-day Belfast, it asks what happens when the systems designed to help us fall short, and love is doing more heavy lifting than it should.
