Kpop Stadium Concert coming to London in June!

Kpop is coming to town big time this year, from Stray Kids to CIX, Cheetah to Blackpink; but what is on my radar is SMTOWN LIVE 2025!

As you may know from my weekly Hoxton Radio show, KpopwithSam, on Mondays at 5pm, I have big love for SM’s talent roster, so I was delighted when they announced that they were bringing their global tour to the UK on 28th June.

SMTOWN LIVE began back in 2008, and since 2010 has frequently held shows across the Summer hitting Asia, Europe and the US. For the first time in 14 years, it returns to Europe with an epic date on 28th June in London at the Allianz Stadium in Twickenham, which has hosted legendary tours like the The Rolling Stones and Beyonce.

The line-up includes 16 of their finest from OG’s like TVXQ! and Girls Generation to newbies dearAlice (British members) and Hearts2Hearts. Naevis, a virtual idol girl group, who first appeared in Aespa’s debut music video ‘Black Member’, will ‘take to the stage’, or at least the big screen. There is even huge buzz around the debut of yet to be named group of trainees known as “SMTR25”; as this boy collective becomes the second new group this year to enter the chat following Hearts2Hearts debut in February.

Notable absences include Shinee and BoA, as well as the full line-up from EXO, Red Velvet and Girl’s Generation. NCT 127 will be down two members as Taeyong and Jaehyun are in the middle of their mandatory military service, however the rest of the NCT universe will be there to fill the gap.

You can enjoy music styles from pop to r&B, dance to hip hop, so there is something for everyone.
