It was the last show of the year for kpopwithsam. On the playlist was part 2 of the wrapped list with some of the fave hits that have been on rotation on Sam’s Spotify! We kicked off the show with banger ‘Gold’ from Itzy, produced by Dem Jointz. Then we went for a re-release of a banger from BoA with her 2022 hit ‘Better’ which was released with guest vocals from Xin Liu. Newbies Meovv were on the list with their Blackpink sounding tune ‘Body’. Funnily enough they are signed to Black Label was founded by YG super producer Teddy who has worked with Blackpink. We had ‘Trigger’ from The Boyz who get to keep the use of their band name under their new label, One Hundred.

We took up the tempo with hip hop track ‘Woke Up’ from XG, a Japanese girl group operating out of South Korea. Then we slowed down the tempo for smooth R&B tune from Paul Blanco with Summer. It was the return of the OG’s with Twice who have just celebrated a comeback with track ‘Strategy’ having a guest rap from Megan Thee Stallion, we delved in the back catalogue for 2021 ‘Scientist’.

We had two sugary upbeat pop tunes from Key with ‘Good and Great’, as well as ‘After School’ from Weeekly. The iconic Stray Kids who have celebrated several milestones on the Billboard charts including now tying with BTS, having the most chart toppers for a South Korean boy band. We played ‘Easy’.

Newbies Kiss of Live who are actively involved in everything to do with their craft from writing, visuals to choreo were also on the list with their bop ‘Get Loud’. We played out with three songs from the hit factory , SM Entertainment. ‘Glitch Mode’ from NCT Dream, ‘Armageddon’ from multiple award winning Aespa and finally ‘Walk’ from my fave group NCT 127.
