Hackney Carnival 2024
East London’s favourite family-friendly festival will return to the streets of Hackney for the first time in five years, this September.
With its roots in a resplendent debut in 2019 that attracted an estimated 80,000 people, the Hackney Carnival operated online for 2020 & 21 due to Covid, was cancelled in 2022 after the death of HM Queen Elizabeth and operated in a more limited ‘roadshow’ format 2023 as preparations ramped up for this year’s long-awaited return.
Attendees can expect a family-focused day that celebrates the borough’s diverse communities and creative talents, featuring eye-catching floats, vibrant costumes, local food and drink stalls, engaging workshops and more!
