NONDEF | CD SOUNDS: PETE WAY

Thank you for the strikes that meant Pete Way made it to Hoxton Radio and not Selhurst Park this evening. It’s 2-2 as I write this and he’s probably lamenting missing a goal-fest as he makes his way home.

A producer on Big Breakfast and Ant & Dec, writer on Maxim and Stuff, creative lead at Paddy Power. Serious fame-making creds. Add Weber, BCW and now Lucky Generals.

Yep, that BCW bit is especially relevant: I hoped to get the inside line on my new merger partners, but there was no dirt to dish. Frankly, I was more focused on the fact that he produced Zig & Zag, which brings me that little bit closer to I Like to Move it. It’s still awesome when sung by puppets.

He failed to select that, but northern soul and tracks with a sense of theatre made up for it: Gloria Jones, Lord Creator, The Specials. The cutting room floor could have furnished a whole other show… another day.
