The Theatre Show X The Hackney Empire X Kiln Theatre X Frantic Assembly

The Theatre Show with Alissa Finn featured guests, Executive Director, Jo Hemmant from the Hackney Empire, Pui Fan Lee currently in the production of Mlima’s Tale at the Kiln Theatre, and Felipe Pacheco from Frantic Assembly’s production of Metamorphosis!

The Hackney Empire is celebrating the successful installation of 75 solar panels to reduce their carbon footprint and energy costs, tune in for a chat from Hackney Empire’s executive director, Jo Hemmant and the future of theatre within the East London community.

Pui Fan Lee currently playing Guoxi in Mlima’s Tale spoke about her experience working within the company playing at the Kiln Theatre till the 21st of October. Mlima’s Tale follows the story of one of the last great tuskers, Mlima and how he haunts those along the ivory trade after his death. Written by Pulitzer Prize-winner Lynn Nottage (MJ The Musical, The Secret Life of Bees) and directed by Miranda Cromwell (Death of a Salesman), this is a play you do not want to miss!

What a joy to chat with Felipe Pacheco, currently playing Gregor Samsa in Frantic Assembly’s production of Kafka’s Metamorphosis. This reimagined version of Metamorphosis is bound to capture audiences while on the UK Tour. The production will be playing at the Lyric Hammersmith Theatre from the 1st of February through till 2nd of March 2024, make sure to add those dates to your calendar!
