Counter 71 brings Chef’s Table Dining to Hoxton
Chef Joe Laker is launching his first solo venture Counter 71 on Hoxton’s Nile Street, set to open its doors to an exclusive 16 covers per night from 29th June.
The former head chef of Fenn has developed an intimate counter-dining experience he describes as a ‘seasonal ode to The British Isles’ with hand-dived scallops and creel-caught langoustine on the 15 course tasting menu.
Downstairs, the Lowcountry bar celebrates the American South, with signature Martini Flights and their House Cocktail the Boiler Maker served alongside southern small plates Pimento Cheese Rarebit and Shrimp and Grits Prawn Toast.
Counter 71 and Lowcountry Bar open at 71 Nile Street, Hoxton on Thursday 29th June.
