CAPTURING THE MOMENT AT THE TATE MODERN
Tate Modern’s upcoming exhibition ‘Capturing the Moment’ promises guests an immersive journey through contemporary painting and photography.
The exhibition will explore the dynamic relationship between the two mediums, from iconic artworks by David Hockney and Paula Rego, to photographic works by Hiroshi Sugimoto and Jeff Wall.
Visitors will discover how artists have blurred the boundaries between painting and photography, creating new and exciting forms of art, such as Pauline Boty’s pop paintings, Andy Warhol’s silkscreen prints, the photorealist works of Gerhard Richter, or Andreas Gursky’s large-scale panoramic photographs.
Capturing the Moment opens 13 June – 28 January 2024 at Tate Modern.
