The Offbeat Sari at the Design Museum

London may be grey this winter, but color will retake the streets in May with the opening of the Offbeat Sari Exhibition at the Design Museum.

Beauty, tradition, and innovation will be on full display as saris are re-imagined as sites of protest, expression, and transformation.

Part fashion exhibition, part cultural commentary, the exhibition will feature exceptionally rare pieces such as the first sari ever worn to the Met Gala and Lady Gaga’s famous foil jersey sari.

The Offbeat Sari will open at the Design Museum on May 19th and run until September 17th. Read more about the exhibition and pre-book your tickets here.
