Facing Heaven

Chef Julian Denis has opened a new vegan Chinese restaurant, called Facing Heaven, on Bayford St, just off London Fields.

Owing its name to a Sichuan chilli pepper, Facing Heaven‘s diverse menu features a core of scorching regional dishes nuanced by Puerto Rican, American and Portuguese flavours and touches, given Denis’ multicultural upbringing in LA.

Facing Heaven‘s 28 cover capacity makes it accommodating for larger parties, with most plates being designed for sharing and, as ever, completely vegan.

A new space has allowed Denis to level up his culinary techniques and produce even more impressive dishes, which will no doubt excite diners of the cult-adored Mao Chow: Denis’ previous, smaller-scale venture.
