Louise Bourgeois: The Woven Child

Explore the final years of artist Louise Bourgeois career at her new exhibition The Woven Child at the Hayward Gallery in the Southbank Centre.

She demonstrates the use of the past to inform the present, highlighting her unique way with fabric and textiles.

Her work touches on identity, sexuality, family relationships and reparation, using domestic textiles she touches on physiological themes making her work mesmerising.

Many of the materials she used were from her personal history & childhood, Louise grew up around fabric helping in her family’s tapestry restoration atelier in France.

The exhibition showcases some of her works never seen before in the UK.

It will be running from the 9th of Feb –⁠ 15th May from 10am, tickets are £15 & Free for Members.
