GOOSE ISLAND Derek
Award winning craft beer experts Goose island have released a brand new IPA called DEREK, a one-off charity beer in honour of Watchet Town’s beloved village goose.
Derek was a snow goose who resided in the coastal town of Watchet Somerset, Derek lived by the boats for years becoming a local legend and even making friends with the marina cat
Locals truly loved Derek feeding and tending to her regularly Unfortunately, she recently went missing without a trace, so the people of Watchet have come together to build a statue in her honour.
This limited edition beer is a Hazy IPA bursting with refreshing citrus fruits, clocking in at 4.2% ABV. The session IPA uses a dip-hopping technique for maximum citrus flavour.
Goose Island are aiming to raise awareness for this cause encouraging people to donate to the gofundme page for the statue, the proceeds from the Derek beer will go to Four Paws charity, a renowned animal welfare organisation.
