The London Festival of Architecture

Hackney’s buildings are featuring in The London Festival of Architecture 2021 which is running until the end of this month.

This year, the the theme of ‘care’ is being explored with a series of Hackney-specific commissioned art, including Wicked Changes at Hackney Wick. The display will offer an interpretation into how gentrification has changed the area, and how new architectural language and stakeholder decision making has shifted the currents of creativity.

There will also be outdoor performances about CCTV surveillance in cities just outside Hackney Old Town Hall called You See Me, Seeing You.
