Frank Bowling Tate Britain interview
Are your eyes ready for a ticklesome surprise? Then we suggestively advise you take a jaunt to Tate Britain and Frank Bowling who is in town 31st May – 26th August.
The exhibition showcases the breadth of Frank Bowling’s work from his earliest paintings in the 1960’s with recent pieces from 2017 also featured.
He uses an illuminative pallet taking you on a journey across the UK to the USA, with the paintings built as textured landscapes using an intriguing mix of strange objects submerged in the works.
The pieces ‘echo the artist’s transatlantic worldwide view’ with the 85 year old still practicing in his London studio today.
Frank Bowling is running at Tate Britain from Friday 31st May to Monday 26th August.
