Dead Full x Cook Love + Camden Grocer
This week we kicked off Dead Full with the exploration of a bumper hamper of goodies delivered by the Irish Food Board, Bord Bia, in anticipation of St Patrick’s day. Among the delights in the picnic basket we had Barry’s Tea, Cashel Blue Cheese>, Goatsbridge Eat Trout Rainbow Trout Caviar and Drumshanbo Gunpowder Irish Gin.
Matt from The Camden Grocer dropped in to tell us about his store at North Yard, Camden Market. The Camden Grocer stocks a carefully curated range of seasonal, sustainable with Great Taste award-winning products and other epicurean delights. Peruse the fine food section, the delicatessen or sit back and relax in their café. The Camden Grocer now also hosts live music sessions and a calendar of events such as butchery classes from fellow market traders, independent butcher Roadkill.
Head chef of Pied à Terre, Akis Chaniotis mad a repeat visit to Hoxton Towers to tell us about his new project in conjunction with Dinerama – Cook Love. Akis gave us the full lowdown on the street food menu he’ll be serving up in Shoreditch: wood fired scallops with homemade seaweed butter (£7), Oxford sandy and black pulled leg of pork with ponzu chilli and pickles (£6) and Cacio e Pepe: Spaghetti pasta, pecorino cheese and cracked black pepper (£4)
