At the Counter with Natalia
This week Natalia goes solo but with LOTS to talk about!
Fay Maschler reviews Il Cudega in London Fields and gives it 4 STARS! The incredible Italian spot has just opened up for dinner and is serving dishes such as Risotto Milanese, Cotoletta alla Milanese, a beautiful deli selection and other traditional Lombardian dishes. Check them out!
We also talked about the beauty of hangover food, what are the favourites and a few interesting go-to’s from around the globe. Including but not limited to, the Czech Republic, Mongolia and Poland.
A few stories from Natalia’s American travels – the 100 year old Italian restaurant in Carroll Gardens, Ferdinandos Focacceria before a walk along the Brooklyn Promenade for the best view of Manhattan and a drop in on rap star Nas’ restaurant, Sweet Chick.
PLUS! Diary dates for this weekend include:
#BakeforSyria – a huge bake off in honour of the crisis in Syria, spearheaded by @clerkenwellboyec1 on Columbia Road this Saturday 29th July.
Eighty Six List at Borough Market with Xiringuito – an amazing menu with wine pairing by the duo behind this moveable restaurant.
St John Maltby Street BBQ – Wednesday 26th July from 6pm, Head Chef Alex Szrok will be preparing a spread and the restaurants very own Box Wine will be sold at £3.50 a glass!
Music included Gorillaz, Tove Lo, TLC, Beach Boys and Disclosure.
