Joan Jonas Tate Modern review
Be prepared to have your senses tested to their absolute maximum in this challenging exhibition of the influential 60’s artist from the forever-cool area that is Downtown New York.
The show, being held at the Tate Modern, is as much an experiment for the gallery as it is for the artist herself. Visitors should anticipate a heady mixture of short films, performances, drawings, and sculptures from Jonas – a well established pioneer of performance art, known for pushing boundaries for five decades.
It is as good as guaranteed that anyone who visits will be completely immersed into her weird, provocative, haunting and, most importantly, fascinating world.
Joan Jonas is at Tate Modern from now till 5th August 2018.
