Dead Full X Pied-a-Terre

With Jordan off on a romantic tryst in Budapest, the Preshaah crammed the studio with some of the top names on the London restaurant scene.

We kicked off with Pied-a-Terre’s head chef Asimakis Chaniotis. Pied à Terre has gained some of the highest awards and accolades possible, starting with its first Michelin star in 1993 and becoming a two Michelin star restaurant in 1996. Asimakis has continued the Michelin star pedigree having just been awarded his first star and becoming the youngest chef in London to hold the accolade. Asimakis told us about his entry into catering, how he brings Greek flair to traditional French cuisine, highlighting some of his signature dishes.

Pied-a-Terre have a very special deal for Hoxton Radio listeners… phone or book online and mention Hoxton Radio and you can get the £94 vegan or vegetarian tasting menu for £75 plus a free drink.

Next on the menu was Helena Puolakka, Executive Chef at Skylon at the Royal Festival Hall. Helena has been on the culinary scene for a long time and has worked with some of the world’s most highly regarded chefs. We delved in to Finnish Christmases and her return to the Skylon after having being the chef eeho originally opened the restaurant in 2006.

We rounded off the show with a visit from Tom Anglesea head chef at the Laughing Heart in Hackney Road where he serves up a new take on contemporary British cuisine. Tom is making an appearance at the Taste London event where he’ll be cooking up his signature beef bavette in the demonstration kitchen.
