At The Counter X National Pizza Day
On today’s show Natalia had some prior prep from the pizza purveyors ahead of National Pizza Day on the 9th Feb.
With special guests including Pizza Pilgrims very own James Elliot and Founder of National Pizza Day, Jamie Klingler, Natalia discussed all things pizza, proposing the most controversial question to date – ‘Does pineapple belong on Pizza?!’
Pizza Pilgrims are showcasing their new pineapple pizza tomorrow alongside 9 other London pizza traders at Hawker House, India Quay. With 30% of pizza and 400 restaurants across the UK offering discounts, there are no excuses for our fellow foodies. You can grab your tickets via FOODISM.
Foodie finds in Liv’s Corner this week included Mother Flipper’s residency at Spike & Earl over in Denmark Hill which is running from the 9th Feb – 10th March. There you can bag yourself one of Mother Flipper’s notoriously famous burgers while washing it down with half price drinks!
Over at Tapas Brindisa in Shoreditch, they are once again celebrating the Festival of Calçotada – the festival of spring onions! You can opt for a meat tapas menu or a vegan alternative, both including the traditional char-grilled onions and romesco sauce all under £40. Both menus include starters, a main tapas selection and a dessert.
Natalia also suggested where to go this Valentine’s day. For those that want a night on the town to splash the cash, head over to Andrew Edmunds in Soho. Alternatively, if you fancy sitting in and celebrating a Gal-entines with your best pals order in from Sutton and Sons.
New opening alert this week goes to Little Duck Picklery over on Dalston Lane, while we sadly say goodbye to Ellory.
Join us At the Counter Next week for all things love – from food, to drinks to places for a Valentine’s spin-off.
